Street Party
Each year, 10+ young people are trained as Youth Event Managers to create Fitzrovia Street Party and Community Dinner for 400+ guests.
Our Youth Event Managers:
Decide the event theme - we have had environmental awareness, carnival, movie madness, summer beach and our own birthday party themes!
Design the poster and distribute promotional material to local residents developing design
Research activities in response to theme and feedback from the previous year they think the community and other young people would enjoy - we have had rodeo bulls, go karts, water wars, photobooths, gladiators, archery, karaoke, carnival side stalls and more!
Decide the site plan and conduct risk assessments - create and deliver a briefing for stewards and staff
Encourage other young people to take part in social action and volunteer as stewards
Host the event from our biggest stage, introducing other amazing youth talent and entertaining guests
