Afternoon Tea Party – Intergenerational Event
The Fitzrovia Youth in Action Youth Ambassadors held a small intergenerational consultation Afternoon Tea Party on 23rd August to give thoughts and opinions to improve our Community Christmas Dinner and activities happening in Fitzrovia run by young people throughout the year.
We were joined by some local parents, attendees of our other events and had great fun with some local line dancers who meet regularly at Diorama Arts Centre, who ran a line dancing session for other community members and our young people. There were some great conversations about future activities for children, parents and older members of the community.
Some of the early findings have found that all who attended would love to have more opportunities like the tea party to come together with young people and share stories or skills and more activities run by young people for children. Our ambassadors commented how much they enjoyed being able to sit and speak with members of the public one to one and get to know them better.
We would like to thank Radisson Blue Edwardian Grafton Hotel for their donation of some sandwiches and cakes for our guests!
