Digital Steering Group

As a result of COVID19, FYA closed physical doors last month to keep staff, young members and the general public staff safe. Staff began work from home and within a few days, the Digital Steering Group was born. FYA is youth-led and will remain so in this time. The group will guide and lead FYA in these uncertain times.
The group meet weekly every Wednesday at 5:30pm

– Already the group have designed a consultation reaching 100+ young people. They created it to explore what their peers are experiencing, what FYA can do to support them, and crucially, find out what types of engagement they want to participate in and inform the online programme FYA offers to our youth members at this time
– The group decided to create a Spotify playlist called ‘Lockdown Listening’ – a combination of songs by staff and young people, for both staff and young people of FYA, as well as partners and other FYA supporters on social media – Check it out by clicking the images >>>
– The group is growing and is clearly a space for everyone to both discuss how COVID19 is impacting them, as well as sharing what is making them smile and using this time to do what they do best – youth action

New team members are always welcome and we meet on Wednesdays at 5:30pm on Zoom!
Get in touch with Ellie on ellie.rudd@fya.org.uk or message on 07923849277.  You need to complete a membership form before you can join the team.
You can then be sent the zoom link every week and join the optional whatsapp group for idea sharing. There are always 2 FYA team members minimum in any online project.
