As central London’s leading youth action agency, FYA are delighted to now be offering training and consultancy for youth organisations to help them to embed ‘the youth led approach’ into their work with young people.

We offer a range of Masterclasses and bespoke Train the Trainer (TTT) programmes to capacity build agencies to build a culture of peer support for the youth that they work with, where young people leading is central.

These include a Facilitation Foundations series (2 hour masterclasses on facilitating youth led programmes the ‘FYA way’) and 2 day TTT programmes that help organisations to codesign their own peer support project and train participants on how to implement peer mentoring programmes, using our resource templates and materials that have been coproduced with young people and youth professionals.

Thanks to funding from the Greater London Authority, we can offer masterclasses FREE to a number of organisations who are based in / work with young people in the areas of Camden, Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Westminster between September 2022-April 2024. Youth organisations based in other London boroughs or areas of the UK are welcome to attend at a cost.

• have capacity to support and embed a peer mentoring programme
• have safeguarding policies in place to support the young people they work with
