Our youth-led volunteering activities are a means for young people to give something back to their community whilst gaining confidence and valuable hands-on work experience. Projects organised by our young volunteers include peer education programmes, community events and media projects. Steering groups of young volunteers spend on average three months planning and organising their activities. After delivering their project, young people take part in employability workshops to help them recognise and articulate the skills they learned through the programme. Between 2017-2018 a total of 256 young people took part in our youth-led volunteering programme as steering group members.
