Cumberland Fun Fest
July 31 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
On Saturday 31st July, the Community Champions Regents Park team ran a brilliant new event in the estate – Cumberland Fun Fest!
Over 400 local residents joined us throughout the day to reconnect and have fun! Guests took part in archery and football, had a go on the Rodeo Bull or had a water fight in our Water Tag arena! There were fantastic performances from local residents Chloe and opera from Louisa and brilliant performances from Soundskool performers Valentina, Yaya and Ashanti and our very own Emma Illunga.
Regents Park Community Champions were joined by young people and neighbours from across Camden to steward the event. Tasnim, Alaa and Isabella, three of our local resident champions were brilliant hosts. The group worked together for 8 weeks organising the event, but some of them actually came up with the idea during Lockdown. The group were passionate about giving the community a place to laugh, smile and reconnect. Isabella and Delisha designed the poster, where Irene, Houria and Jannah did the site plan and Mark, Marie and Sergio organised the cumberland workbench activity! It was a real team effort.
Thank you to our friends at West Euston Partnership for support and use of HPOD, Regents Place for supporting with use of their deck chairs and of course – to all our volunteers and guests who made it such an incredible day!
