Street Party 2023

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO JOINED US 2ND SEPTEMBER FOR THE EXTRAVAGANZA OF THE YEAR – FITZROVIA STREET PARTY! 

We were joined by over 400 guests to celebrate the end of the summer with some brilliant talent on our stage and lots of activities!

The event was organised by a group of 8 young people, bringing you face painters, a stilt walker and fire breather, carnival stall games, candy floss, slushies, test your strength, inflatables, go karts, soft play and ball pool and more! There was an issue with one of the suppliers and the inflatables, but the youth event managers did well dealing with the challenge!

Thank you to Roundhouse for bring their circus workshop, to local artists Sammi and Nadia for running bubble painting and to Sankofa Storytelling and Arts for face paint and stories which was noted as a real highlight! Another highlight was the amount of talent on the stage including young artists from across Camden and organisations such as Remix Dance, The Apex Project and Sound Connections.  Thank you to the incredible acts Stephanie, Josiah (Steel Pan Drummer), Zara, Nikki, A7, Nocevo, Leanna and Taj!

At the beginning of the event, 60% of attendees reported their sense of community belonging as 8 or more out of 10. After the event 75% of guests reported their sense of community belonging as 8 or more out of 10 and there was a 37.5% increase in sense of community belonging overall. 98% of guests rated the event good or brilliant, with 60% rating brilliant.
