The Covid-19 pandemic has changed a lot of things for our young people over the course of the past 2 years. We know that there has been a huge impact on physical sporting events such as football tournaments due to restrictions. Young people’s mental wellbeing and physical health have been affected greatly during this time. We at FYA are working hard to make our sporting events Covid friendly and bringing that sense of community back.
We are planning to run the Warren Summer Cup, 5 a-side Football Tournament again, and this time it will be held on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st May 2022 during the half term holidays.
This event is one of our exciting summer tournaments which is organised to engage and encourage young people in continuing a healthy lifestyle, whether it’s playing sports or raising awareness of health issues impacting young people and our community. On the day, there will be scheduled games between local youth teams, a cinema tent where we will screen peer education films created by young people and we will also be having a BBQ. This is a chance for young people to enjoy a community sporting event whether it is cheering someone on or playing in the tournament. We encourage you all to join in!
Winners and runners up of the games will receive trophies and medals.

11 and 12 year old 10.30am to 2pm
13 and 14 year old – 1.30pm to 5pm

5 a-side and 9 players can be registered in a team
Entry fee: £10.00 per team
