What is contextual safeguarding?

Young Guardians and Community Champions received training in contextual safeguarding and the Young Guardians created this film to help other young people and community members understand what it means in more simplified terms and as they define what it looks like in Regent’s Park Estate.

Some of the Young Guardians also created a film and workshop they delivered to FYA football teams, Girls Club and Cumberland Youth Club, and to community members at the ‘Safety Social’ with Community Champions – the spoken word film designed by Aya and Isabella went on to win Camden’s Youth Safety Week Multimedia Award 2022

Below is the gallery of some of the photos capturing the estate and the young people. The majority of shots were taken by Young Guardians themselves on two different analogue cameras with the support of Louie. As part of their campaign above, we hope some of these shots and their resource QR code will be featured locally in poster boxes and at bus stops.
